Bella Vista Skeet Range Gets Technical Upgrade

The Highlands Park Trap and Skeet Range in Bella Vista has a new coin box operation for their trap and skeet shooters.

The Highlands Park Trap and Skeet Range in Bella Vista has a new coin box operation for their trap and skeet shooters.

It's a way for the operations people to keep track of how many birds are purchased.
Up until recently, it was done on the honor system, but nit's tracked by computer.

It’s called an Electronic Target Management System.  The system is very simple. Just drop a token, then start dropping birds.

All shooters on the firing line insert a token into box, which gives each shooter 25 targets. This is a more accurate way to count them and will save the Bella Vista Property Owners thousands of dollars.

Vern Olafson, a representative of Highlands Park Trap and Skeet Range, says the new system can also help the shooters.

“This system helps us and the shooters stay up to date on what they're doing, how many shells they're shooting, and how many targets they're getting,” said Olafson. He also went on to say the feedback on the site is very good.

The skeet are released by voice activation. When you yell pull, it's your shot to shine.
According to Olafson you can stay as long as you like. That is, if your shoulder can hang in there.
The Highlands Park ''Trap and Skeet'' Range is located not far from the Highlands Golf Course in Bella Vista.

May your guns shots be straighter than your golf shots.
