Pedestrian Killed on HWY 64 Near Muldrow

A man is dead after being hit by a minivan on Highway 64 near Muldrow.

A Muldrow Police officer on the scene says the man was sitting in the middle of the road Thursday night when he was hit. The officer says one car swerved and missed the man, but the minivan following that car hit the victim. Neighbors in the area believe the man is homeless and staying with someone near the highway, according to police.

Police have the man’s I.D. but are not releasing his name until family can be notified.

At this time police do not know why the man was sitting on the road. They say the speed limit where he was hit is 65 mph.
