Petrino told reporters after the workout that Wright was happy to get a chance to move back to the position he was originally recruited to play.
"He's much faster now than when he did play there," Petrino noted. "He has a want to. He'd love to do it. So we'll take a look at it and see how it works out."
Wright's biggest problem on day one of the change did not involve a learning curve even though linebackers coach Taver Johnson did spent a lot of teaching time with his newest pupil. Petrino said conditioning, not x's and o's, is Wright's biggest challege at linebacker.
"He did get tired," Petrino observed. "You know, it's a lot different the amount of running and running downfield and everything is a lot different so we'll have to get him in shape."
