SPRINGDALE – Two men were arrested after an early morning shooting near the Zabana Night Club on S. Old Missouri Road in Springdale.
Police were called to the club around 2 a.m. Sunday. Eyewitnesses say several individuals were kicked-out of the club after being involved in a physical altercation. As they were leaving, two of the individuals made threats to return with guns, according to a police report.
A short time later, police say the same subjects who made the threats returned to the club in a vehicle, and from the parking lot fired two shots from a .45 caliber handgun into the night club, and then fled the area. Police say both rounds entered into the business through a glass door. Several people were around at the time of the incident, but luckily no injuries were reported.
The follow-up investigation identified one of the suspects as 33-year-old, Wilson Santiago-Lugo. Springdale Police located and arrested Santiago-Lugo at his girlfriend’s apartment. Santiago-Lugo was being held at the Washington County Jail on two counts of felony Terroristic Acts.
A second suspect, 34-year-old Cristino Echevarria-Medine was arrested later for the same charges.
The vehicle, suspected to have been used during the assault, was also located and impounded as evidence.
The investigation is ongoing.
