Springdale Police arrested a man for allegedly attacking a man with a bottle of whiskey.
Robert Daniel Marshall, 41, of Springdale, is charged with residential burglary, terroristic threatening, theft of property, battery and interference with emergency communications, according to a police report.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 1500 block of Kirsten around 11:30 p.m. Monday. They spoke with Alejandro Godoy, 29, who said that he and his girlfriend had gotten into a fight. She left after the police were called, Godoy said.
A short time later, Godoy told police he went outside and saw his girlfriend’s father, Marshall, get out of a truck and run across the parking lot towards him.
Godoy told police that he tried to shut the door of his apartment to keep Marshall out, but he pushed his way in.
He claims Marshall threatened to kill him, picked up a bottle of whiskey and began punching him in the face. Marshall also allegedly broke Godoy’s cell phone so he couldn’t call for help, according to a police report.
Godoy told police that Marshall left the scene with the bottle of whiskey in hand.
Marshall was later arrested at his residence
