The First Tee of Northwest Arkansas is proud to announce the opening of a brand new golf facility in Lowell built just for the kids.

The Tyson Foods First Tee Learning Center offers just about everything a kid would need to learn about the game of golf, and the game of life.

“It's going to have a driving range, a three hole golf course, a short game facility, and a clubhouse and the really great news is it's open to the public as well,” said     Mike Shea, Executive Director for the First Tee of Northwest Arkansas.

Most of the facility features were built thanks to corporate donations, donated to give back to the future of the game.

The facility is an affordable way to get your kids in the swing of things for life.

Shea says it’s all about keeping it local and affordable, “With our corporate investors and our associate members program we try to keep our fees as low as possible. To join First Tee of NWA is only 25 dollars for the year.’’

So the facilities are there, but what about the instruction?

Well, you'll be pleased to know that real golf professionals are on full-time staff.

There are seven sessions in which kids can sign up for classes, and the highest cost for a class is $20 for four weeks.

With prices like that, just about anybody can afford to learn the game, and that's just the idea behind the First Tee Program.

Who knows?  Maybe one of these kids will turn into a golfing star one day?

Thanks to the First Tee of NWA, those dreams are now possible and affordable.
