Razorback’s Gilbert Suspended After Arrest
University of Arkansas freshman LB Tyler Gilbert was “suspended indefinitely” by interim head football coach Taver Johnson.
Gilbert was arrested on charges of aggravated residential burglary and theft of property. He
was booked into the Washington County Detention Center Tuesday morning.
The theft happened at an apartment on W. Piedmont on April 13, according to a police report.
The victim told police three black men, identified as Jesse Booker, Ryan Graves, and Gilbert, kicked in the front door of his apartment and stole items. The victim told police Booker hit him in the face with a crowbar and his fists during the alleged burglary,
according to the police report.
Items stolen from the apartment consisted of a wooden plaque with the words “Greek Man of the Year,” a 6×10 Omega Psi Phi banner, a camouflage vest, a military style “boonie hat”, a military style “patrol cap,” gold size 13 boots, a “Jason” hockey mask, two dog collars, Mardi Gras beads, and $100, according to the police report.
