Adams Preparing for Panthers

The National Football League draft was just days ago, but Joe Adams is already preparing for life as a pro.

The National Football League draft was just days ago, but Joe Adams is already preparing for life as a pro.

The former Hog receiver was in Little Rock Tuesday working out in advance of his first professional training camp.

“This only comes once in a lifetime,” Adams said. “I’m going to go out there and do what I need to do to make sure I say on the field.”

Adams, last season’s SEC Special Teams Player of the Year, was drafted in the fourth round by the Carolina Panthers.

“I feel great, just to know my name was called off the board,” he said. “Now, it’s just getting ready to play. It’s just getting out there and getting acclimated with the playbook.”

The Panthers finished the 2011 season 6-10.
