Taking a look at some of the latest data on the next system that will move into our area late Sunday night and into Monday with rain chances possible.

Weak upper level energy will likely cause a complex of storms to develop. Currently, I’m thinking it’ll be sometime Monday morning. There just isn’t a lot of lift with this front, nor is there a large temperature gradient. Rainfall totals will not be impressive. Right now, I’m think we could see anywhere from .25″ to .50″.

The picture above shows a precipitation estimate for the next 5 days and indicates about .25″. Not much. Sure, it’s a much-needed rain. But we could really use a good soaking rain. This one… doesn’t look like it’ll be the soaker we need.

Another chance for rain arrives back into the forecast late in the week and into the weekend.
