Saturday, June 9 will mark the 17th anniversary of the disappearance of Morgan Nick.
Police say Morgan was abducted from a little league baseball field in Alma while catching fireflies on June 9, 1995. Morgan was six-years-old at the time of her disappearance. This year she would be 23.
Police have never managed to locate Morgan or her abductor.
After Morgan’s disappearance, Morgan’s mother Colleen went on to found the Morgan Nick Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping protect kids.
The Morgan Nick Foundations is asking everyone to honor Morgan’s memory by catching 17 fireflies and posting it to their Facebook page.
If there are no fireflies are in your area, you are encouraged to light a candle of hope for her.
