Arkansas Music Pavilion is proud to present the inaugural Taste of Country music festival. Country music superstar Miranda Lambert, the Pistol Annies, Randy Houser and more will perform at the AMP at the Washington County Fairgrounds Friday, August 17.

Gates will open at 5pm and the music begins at 6pm.

Tickets are $47 for all seats. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 15 at 9am, and can be purchased by calling the Walton Arts Center Box Office at 479-443-5600 or visiting www.amptickets.com. There will be multiple stages at the festival; not all performances will be under the tent.

Country singer Miranda Lambert first landed on the public’s radar in 2003, when she appeared on the country music singing competition Nashville Star. Although she didn’t end up winning the competition, her finish as runner-up did not stop her from going on to become one of the most popular female country singers of today. In 2011, Miranda had one of her biggest and busiest years yet. In addition to marrying fellow country singer Blake Shelton, she recorded the debut album for her group, Pistol Annies, as well as her fourth solo album, Four the Record. Four the Record debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart. With its release, she became the first country artist to have each of her first four albums hit #1 on the Top Country Albums Chart.

Randy Houser burst onto the country music scene in 2008 with his debut album Anything Goes. The title track of the album, “Anything Goes,” was a Top 20 hit on the Billboard country singles chart that same year. Houser’s sophomore album, They Call Me Cadillac peaked at number eight on the US Country Chart. In 2011 he released “In God’s Time,” which was the lead-off single to his upcoming, untitled third album.
