Police have identified the Elkins man killed when his motorcycle was hit by a truck in Fayetteville Tuesday.

Ricky Langham, 60, was killed when his Honda 13S motorcycle was hit by a Ford F-150. Police said the driver of the truck, Paul Mosley, 22, of Fayetteville, was eastbound on west Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard when he quickly changed lanes and attempted to turn right into a parking lot in front of Langham.

Langham tried to stop but collided with the back of the pickup, police say. He was pronounced dead at a Washington Regional Medical Center. Langham was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to an Arkansas State Police fatality report.

Mosley and his passenger were not injured.

Dwight Stephens, who lives right by Langham’s family in Elkins, said he shared almost 30 years of friendship with Langham.

Stephens said he was at work when he heard the news.

"You hear about it all the time and it on TV but when it comes homes this close to you, you really feel it," Stephens said.

"It's a really really bad deal that this kind of thing happened to him," he said.

Langham’s neighbor Shane Cowan said he met the victim about two years ago.

“He's just a really good guy, always considerate and kind, always friendly enough to come talk to you to see how everything was going,” Cowan said.

Officers responded to an accident near the intersection of west MLK and Hanshew Road around 4:30 p.m. Investigators are still trying to determine who is at fault in the accident, Sgt. Craig Stout said.

Mosley was arrested for driving while intoxicated on drugs and driving on a suspended driver’s license, according to police.
