Terra Studios Offers Summer Art Classes

Just a short drive from Fayetteville is a place that feels out of this world.

Just a short drive from Fayetteville is a place that feels out of this world.

Terra Studios can transport you and your children to another place where art lives and breathes.

Jamie Ulick is the owner of Terra Studios.

“We have a whole bunch of things. First it's free admission so it's an easy place to go and spend an afternoon. You can also tour the grounds and play the games and enjoy all the fun things you can do here,” said Ulick.

That's the everyday offer, but now they're kicking it up a notch with Summer Art Classes for kids.

There is a small fee involved, but most of what you can get by coming to Terra Studios is the kind of stuff that money can't buy.

Ulick says the classes get kids get started on a lifelong appreciation of art in a beautiful setting.

Ulick says they are also offering Summer Art classes for kids on Wednesday's and Saturday's. The classes offer things like making pinch pots out of clay, dying silk scarves, they are an off-shoot of our adult programs.’’

While the kids are busy, parents can stroll on over to the oven and watch the glass blowers making the World Famous Bluebirds of Happiness.

Whether it's the love of peace, or a piece of art, Ulick says you can find both at Terra Studios.

“We offer a series of short classes for adults and children in terms of showing you simple techniques. We teach simple techniques like how to do a stained glass window and at the end of the class you go home with something beautiful you created.”

Terra Studios used to be private property, but the new owners are firmly committed to offering a place for artists to gather.

It only takes about 30-minutes from Fayetteville to drive out to Terra Studios, but it's the kind of experience that can last a lifetime.
