Hog Fans Stay in NWA for Game

Hog fans wearing Razorback red are filling the stands in Omaha, Nebraska as well as homes and restaurants across the state.

Fans wearing Razorback red are filling the stands in Omaha, Nebraska as well as homes and restaurants across the state and they all have one thing in common; they want the Diamond Hogs to win.

Many are still in Omaha cheering on the Diamond Hogs at the College World Series but school and work brought several back to Fayetteville.

Will Watson and two of his friends drove eight hours each way to watch Saturday's baseball game against Kent State.

"We drove to Omaha Saturday morning and stayed there Saturday then got up and drove back Sunday morning for work today," said Watson.

Watson and his friends are not the only fans who will be watching Monday night's game in Fayetteville.

"School kept me here in town because having classes over summer, it's hard to just skip them for a week to go watch baseball," said Nathaniel King.

As for score predictions, fans are pretty positive the hogs will take it all.

"I think the South Carolina win streak is over, the Diamond Hogs are going to win and we are going to take our half of the bracket and be playing the championship next weekend," said King.

The Diamond Hogs are just two wins away from playing for the national title.

"I think that Arkansas is going to pull it off," Watson said. "I'll be cheering them on at home but I think it's going to be a tough match."
