ROGERS, Ark. -- Former Razorback Stacy Lewis shot a one-under 70 in Friday's first round of the Northwest Arkansas Championship at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers.
A bogey on two followed by a birdie on three put her at even par through eight holes, then she made a birdie putt on the par four ninth hole to drop to one under.
Lewis made the turn at one under, then dropped to two under after a birdie on the eleventh hole. But a bogey on the par four sixteenth dropped her back to one under, where she sits tied for seventeenth after one round.
Current Razorback, Emily Tubert, playing on a sponsor's exemption, is tied for 98th place after carding a three over.
Veronica Felibert leads at -6, with Shanshan Feng in second at -5. First tee times for second round action are at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday.
