Muldrow Police say 41-year-old Douglas Wilson of Muldrow was arrested early Thursday morning after a high speed chase.
Police say they attempted to stop Douglas at approximately 12:29 a.m. Thursday for a traffic violation because he was suspected to be intoxicated.
That’s when a chase broke out as Douglas took off in his 2003 Silver Volkswagen, according to police. Speeds reached up to 80 miles per hour.
The chase ended less than an hour later at 1:18 a.m. at 4720 Road in Sequoyah County.
Police say the chase ended after the suspect left the vehicle and took off on foot. Douglas has now been booked into the Sequoyah County Jail.
