The Arkoma Police Department lost one of its patrol units overnight when it caught fire.

Police Chief Thomas Lenard says they believe an electrical problem caused the unit to catch fire outside the police station around 2 a.m. He says the state fire marshal’s office will send an investigator to determine the exact cause of the fire.

In the meantime they have one other unit out of service, but Chief Lenard says they still have three units on the streets and that they'll manage to get by with those for now.
