Deadly Accident Causes Delays on I-40 Near Clarksville

One person was killed in a rollover accident on Interstate 40 between Clarksville and Ozark Friday, according to Franklin County Sheriff Anthony Boen.

Boen did not release the victim’s identity.

The westbound lane of I-40 had to be shut down. Drivers were being detoured from Exit 55 to the next exit on Highway 64, according to the Arkansas State Police. The crash caused multiple fender benders.

Eyewitnesses say an 18-wheeler flipped into a ditch, damaging the railing along the side of a bridge.
