Hundreds of vendors scattered along Highway 64 loaded up boxes Saturday night, as the 13th annual Bargains Galore on 64  came to an end. The mega yard sale that stretches 160 miles from Fort Smith to Beebe kicked off Thursday.

Emily Miller, who works with the Bargains Galore on 64 event, said she's sad it's over for the year. The

"Oh, it's just always a great time," said Miller. "I love coming out here, and seeing the people. And I always make sure bring my mom with me too."

Thousands of people traveled along Highway 64 the last few days, looking for something to call theirs.

"I think you can find everything out here," said Ron Hathcock, who drove in from Hampton to see if he could find a few golf clubs.

Luckily, it didn't take him long.

There were dozens of golf clubs, stacks of books, piles of clothes and tables full of everything in between.

Miller said books were one of the best-selling items this year.

"Prices of books have gone so high in the marketplace that I think people are realizing that they can pick up some good books right here."

Miller also said this year was much busier than usual for Bargains Galore on 64.

"People are leaving with trailer loads full of stuff," said Miller. "They're buying a lot of antique furniture this year."

If you missed the fun this year, mark your calendar for next year. Bargains Galore on 64 will be back the second weekend of August.
