Bentonville police arrested a local woman and a man from Little Rock Tuesday after items commonly used to make methamphetamine were found during a traffic stop.

Kristen Rose Bruno, 30, of Bentonville, was arrested on charges of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, according to a police report.

Joseph Paul Moro, 37, of North Little Rock was arrested for Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Obstructing Governmental Operations.  Both were taken to the Benton County Jail and held for a bond hearing.

Early Tuesday, officers stopped a car driven by Moro at the intersection of Parkview Place and SE 17th Street for a registration violation.

Officers found a component of meth labs in the vehicle. After receiving inconsistent statements from Moro and Bruno, who was a passenger in the vehicle, the officers continued the investigation and found a meth lab in a nearby vehicle that belonged to Bruno, according to a police report.
