LeFlore County Sheriff Bruce Curnutt was ousted in Tuesday’s Democratic Primary Election runoff.

Unofficial results show Rob Seale beats the incumbent 55 to 45 percent.

Seale will take on Republican Billy Shropshire for LeFlore County Sheriff in the November general election.

A runoff was held for both the Democratic and Republican primary runoff for Oklahoma’s Congressional District 2. The district includes a large portion of Eastern Oklahoma, including LeFLore and Sequoyah counties.

Markwayne Mullin won the Republican nomination over George Faught 57 to 43 percent.

Mullin will face Democratic candidate Rob Wallace on Nov. 6. Wallace became the Democratic nominee after beating Wayne Herriman 57 to 43 percent.
