One Dead After Motorcycle Accident Near Eureka Springs

One person is dead and another injured after a motorcycle accident Sunday near Eureka Springs, according to Arkansas State Police.

Juan G. Juarez, 57, of Oklahoma City was killed in Carroll County Sunday when he lost control of his Yamaha motorcycle, crossed the eastbound lane, and exited the roadway, according to a crash investigation report by Arkansas State Police.

The report goes on to say the motorcycle traveled down the embankment and overturned.

Juarez’s passenger on the motorcycle, Belinda McCloud, 47, also of Oklahoma City was injured in the crash, and sent to a nearby hospital.  The extent of her injuries is not known at this time.

The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday evening on Arkansas Hwy. 62, west of Eureka Springs.
