The Washington County Fair added another day to this year’s event because of the rainy weather that Hurricane Isaac brought.

Families packed the fairgrounds soaking up the sun Sunday and the last day of the fair.

Kids of all ages took part in the games in hopes of winning a prize.

Brandy Harp said she and her family are glad the fair added an extra day.

"We are excited because we didn't actually get to go for the weekend because of Labor Day and I had to work and they are all excited to ride rides," Harp said.

John Clark and his family came out to celebrate the Labor Day holiday with a little bit of sunshine and fair day fun.

"The beautiful weather, the rides, a good time with the family, just a great day to be out," Clark said.

While some came to ride the rides, others came out to chow down on fair food.

The ‘twister tators’ were favorites this year.

The fair carnival was extended Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Admission was $2, and armbands were available for all rides, all ages for $25.
