The second annual Sebastian County Citizens Academy at the Sheriff’s Office in Fort Smith kicked off this Fall.

The eight week program gives citizens a chance to learn how the sheriff’s office works and what deputies are responsible for. They will learn about everything from the sheriff’s mounted patrol to crime scene investigation. Check back for new photos each week’s class.

To learn how you can be a part of the next Citizen’s Academy, contact the sheriff’s office at (479) 783-1051.
