Officials say no one was hurt in a fire at a Springdale home.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at 100 Ranchwood Drive about 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Firefighters say no one was at the home when the fire broke out.

A eyewitness said the fire may have started in the garage.

Neighbors stood outside as firefighters fought the fire and police directed drivers passing through.

“There was a lot of traffic and policemen and fire trucks everywhere and smoke, lots of smoke,” neighbor Joe Conner said.

Marci Conner, who lives across the street, said she first thought it was her house, where her son was home.

She said the neighbors will lend a helping hand.

“We just felt sad for our neighbors, and we’ll do whatever we can to help out,” Marci Conner said.
