Fans Flock to Win Razorback Football Tickets
A local business is giving away two 50-yard line tickets to the Arkansas-Alabama game and is seeing a big response.
The owner of Houndstooth Michael Baker is giving away his two season tickets.
“I’d rather be sitting there, but I’ll be at the game,” he said.
“It’s just as a thank you to customers. We just wanted to try to participate and be part of the excitement,” Baker said.
It’s free to enter the sweepstakes and Baker said on the first day, 100 people signed up.
“The fact that you get a chance to go to events like this, that in it of itself has a lot of value to it,” Baker said.
Despite the disappointing loss against Louisiana Monroe, many Razorbacks fans are still willing to fill the stadium.
“The SEC is such a different world,” Meghan Puliam said.
“Football games are so much fun, so win or lose, rain or shine people are always going to go to the games,” Puliam said.
Fans like Sean Grant said there’s still hope.
“I think we still have a chance to have a good season if Tyler Wilson comes back and plays. I think we can still win some games,” Sean Grant said.
Others said the game coming up will be difficult, but exciting.
“Definitely makes it tough that Alabama is an awesome team. It’s going to be a tough game,” Jon Weaver said.
Baker said those who bleed Razorback red have persevered through worst times.
“The football team and really all the sports programs have given us so many great moments and memories, who knows Saturday might be another one,” Baker said.
The sweepstakes winners will be announced this Thursday.
You can watch the game Channel 5 at 2:30p.m. Saturday.
