This year’s Bikes, Blues and BBQ rally has several new events, including a classic car show that`s taking place right outside the 5NEWS Fayetteville studio at the Northwest Arkansas Mall.

Waxed and shine, the classic cars pulled into the parking lot, revving their engines. But it isn’t just about the cars.

“We are endorsing the charities in the area,” said Michael Dewberry, show coordinator. “This show right here will benefit the Circle of Life hospice in the area, so all of the money will stay here locally."

A wide variety of cars are showcased, from Ford to Dodge to Chevy.

Jesse Coleman drove his 1928 coupe in from Morrow, Arkansas.

"I found it about two years ago as just the body,” Coleman said. “The past couple of years we have been working on it. The '28 Dodge is a very rare car. Of course, being a three window, it makes it even more rare."

Collectors and car lovers come from all over for the show.

This 1967 Ford Mustang coupe named “Norma Jean,” is one of the show-stopping favorites.

The car’s owner, Chris Ketterman says the car is 85 percent original and only has 77,000 miles.

“She's been a work of love for me and my dad,” Ketterman said. “It took us seven years to get her to where she is now. She was built in my dad's single car garage and in the backyard of his house. We did all of the work minus the paint and body on her."

The show continues Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.  Up to 400 cars are expected.
