A Fayetteville man was released from jail after trying to sell crack cocaine to a criminal informant of the local Drug Task Force.

Kendrick Simmons, 32, was arrested Saturday in connection with resisting arrest and two counts of delivering a controlled substance. He was released from the Washington County Detention Center on $4,535 bond, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said Simmons sold two grams of crack cocaine on two separate occasions to a criminal informant who was outfitted with a wireless recording device. Detectives collected the evidence and arrested Simmons.
