A motorcyclist lost his leg in Fayetteville after an accident on Interstate 540, the Arkansas State Police said.
Chad Molenhour, 35, and his wife Twyla, 33, were both taken to Washington Regional Medical Center.
They were northbound about 12:55 a.m. Sunday and failed to negotiate the curve just south of Exit 67, state police said. They ran off the road and into a line of trees, which severed Molenhour’s leg. The motorcycle then slid several feet, trapping passenger Twila Molenhour underneath.
The couple was in town for the Bikes, Blues and BBQ rally in Fayetteville.
They’re from Newalla, Okla.
