A Springdale woman was arrested Monday after police said she allowed a 13-year-old girl to have sex with a 19-year-old boyfriend.
Teresa Rochelle Hamilton, 48, was arrested on suspicion of permitting child abuse. She was released from the Washington County Detention Center on Tuesday on $5,000 bond.
Hamilton told police she knew the minor was having sex with an adult, but did not object because the man was “a good kid,” according to a preliminary report from the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.
Detectives found explicit images and a video of a sex act on the girl’s phone, as well as numerous sexual texts, the report states. The couple had been seeing each other for about a year, Hamilton told police.
The boyfriend has not yet been arrested, according to the report.
