A Fayetteville woman was arrested Tuesday night after police say she attacked a man with a broom and toilet seat.

Angela Sudduth, 35, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, terroristic threatening, criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a minor. She remained in the Washington County Detention Center on Wednesday on $5000 bond.

Police said Sudduth got into an altercation with a man, then followed him when he went to a nearby house to retrieve a new shirt to replace the one Sudduth ripped, according to a preliminary report from the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.

Sudduth made dents in the door with a broom handle, then turned the broom on the man when he came outside to confront her, the report states. Sudduth then picked up a toilet lid and tried to hit the man after he wrestled the broom from her, police said.

The man complained about pain in his left arm and neck when police arrived on scene. He also had several red marks on his torso. He was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries by Central Emergency Medical Services.
