A two-year-old girl was airlifted to a Little Rock hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Logan County that injured four children.

Jennifer O’Mara, 27, of Booneville, was traveling on Highway 23 just south of Ione, when she failed to yield to an oncoming Ford flatbed truck, resulting in a major collision. State police and emergency workers responded to the crash at 4:53 p.m., according to Arkansas State Police.

O’Mara took her youngest child to Booneville before most authorities showed up on scene. The two-year-old girl was then airlifted from Booneville to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, police said.

Three other children, two seven-year-olds and a 10-year-old, in the Chrysler PT Cruiser with O’Mara were injured and transported to a Fort Smith hospital. None of the injuries are likely life-threatening, according to a trooper working the scene.

O’Mara was uninjured in the crash. No one in the flatbed truck was injured.
