A starting Razorbacks defensive end was arrested by Fayetteville police early Wednesday morning after he did not show up for a scheduled court date, according to the Washington County Detention Center website.

Christopher Smith, 20, was booked into jail at 3:02 a.m. on charges of not appearing in Farmington City Court on suspicion of speeding. He was released at 4:11 a.m. on $415 bond.

Smith, who plays football for the University of Arkansas, was pulled over by Farmington police May 4 after officers said he was traveling at 64 miles per hour in a 45-miles-per-hour zone. A warrant was issued for his arrest July 31 after he did not show up to a scheduled court date in Farmington, according to the Farmington Police Department.
