Police are searching for a man they say tried to kidnap a woman Wednesday night off of the streets of Poteau, Okla.
Officers responded to an attempted kidnapping call at 7:36 p.m. The woman told police she was walking near the intersection of McKenna Street and Grady Avenue when a man approached her and tried to force her into his car.
The woman struggled and was able to get away, police said.
The Poteau Police Department has an all-points bulletin out on a gray 2006 Ford Focus. Police said they hope someone notices the car and they catch the suspect.
Police would not immediately release the woman’s name or age, but said more information will likely be available in the next 24 hours.
