Cox phone services have been restored following a large-scale phone outage that made phones for businesses in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley fall silent.

Businesses in Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ohio and New England experienced phone outages Tuesday on “voice manager,” a feature affecting business phone services, according to a Cox spokesperson.

The outages began mid-morning and extended into the night. Cox Communications sent out a release at 9:34 p.m. saying all services for Voice Manager customers had been restored. The company’s technical team will continue to monitor the systems to address any additional issues, the release states.

The outages did not affect residential customers, the spokesperson said.
