Ruby Poole, 74, has been missing from her Pocola, Okla., home for almost a week. Now her family is offering $2,000 for information leading to her recovery, according to police.

Pocola Police Chief Steve Howard is seeking help from the public, hopeful someone has seen Poole and might have a tip.

“We just need to get the public calling in, we’ve got flyers still being handed out,” he said Tuesday.

Poole’s family is passing out flyers in Oklahoma City and Little Rock, as well as areas along Interstate 40, I-540 and Hwy 271, just in case the woman was picked up by someone passing through the LeFlore County town.

A silver alert was issued across the state by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety Tuesday.

A local media outlet reported Monday that the search for the woman was winding down.

“That’s the furthest from the truth, we are still searching for that woman,” Chief Howard stressed.

Poole was last seen in the area of North Gray Street and Choctaw Road around 11 p.m. on Oct. 17, according to Chief Steve Howard. It is believed that Poole wandered off on foot from her home.

Poole suffers from dementia and is need of her medication, according to her family.

Foul play is not suspected at this time, Chief Howard said.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a purple sweater and a black/white/beige checkered jacket. Poole may be carrying a black or brown purse and may be wearing glasses.

If you have any information or have seen the woman, call Pocola Police at (918) 436-2476.
