Police arrested a Springdale man Thursday they say stole a Playstation 3 and video games from a home before punching someone while fleeing.

Jordan Loschke, 21, was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary, battery and criminal mischief. He was released the same day on $3,500 bond.

Police said Loschke broke into a home on Redbird Circle and stole about $1,000 worth of video games and a Playstation 3. While fleeing the residence, a neighbor tried to stop the alleged burglar, and Loschke punched the neighbor in the face, according to a preliminary report from the Washington County Detention Center.

Loschke successfully fled the area in a vehicle with the stolen merchandise, police said. Officers arriving on scene noticed a broken rain guard that apparently dislodged from the vehicle during the altercation. Police searched the area and matched the rain guard to Loschke’s vehicle, according to the preliminary report.

Officers spoke with Loschke, but were unable to locate the stolen items. Loschke came to the Springdale Police Department the next day with the stolen property, the report states. Police said Loschke seemed remorseful for the incident and admitted to stealing the items.
