Police arrested a Conway woman they say tried to sell marijuana to students on Fayetteville High School grounds Monday during school hours.

Kayce Conville, 18, faces charges of distributing controlled substances near a school, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released from the Washington County Detention Center on Tuesday on $2,500 bond.

Officers patrolling Fayetteville High School on Monday during the lunch hour noticed two students walking into the woods west of the administration building. The officers followed the students until they came to a group of students sitting at a table with a female adult, according to a preliminary report from the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.

One of the students admitted to smoking marijuana just before officers approached the group, police said. Conville had baggies of marijuana spread out on the table, along with a package of rolling papers, two knives and 25-I, a synthetic drug.

Conville told police she is a University of Arkansas student who wanted to make some extra money. She was arrested at the scene.
