A Rogers woman died from injuries sustained in a two-car accident on Highway 12 East just east of Rogers at approximately 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Patricia Miller, 66, died at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville as doctors tried to stabilize her enough to transport her to a trauma center, Rogers police said.

"She was trapped in her car, the medics from the fire department had to extricate her from her vehicle," said Keith Foster, public information officer for the Rogers police.

Miller was the driver of an eastbound white Cadillac DeVille that police said crossed the center line and collided with a westbound black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck driven by Joseph Eddy II, 61, of Rogers.

"The male driver, he and his wife, were westbound on Highway 12 East during the accident," Foster said.

Eddy and his passenger were treated for minor injuries and released from Northwest Medical Center, police said.

The DeVille's driver's side door was seen on the ground near the car after Miller was taken by ambulance to the hospital. The Dodge Ram was off the road from the impact.

Police continue to gather evidence and information from the deadly crash.

Foster said no citations have been issued.
