Lack of discipline and execution in crucial moments derailed Arkansas in another blowout loss to a conference team Saturday. Mississippi State scored 24 points off of five turnovers enroute to a 45-14 win.

After trailing 17-14 at the intermission, Arkansas came out and turned the ball over on five of its first six possessions in the second half.

The game started out just like many other SEC games for the Hogs. Tyler Wilson moved the ball efficiently early, giving Arkansas a 14-17 lead on a 7-yard touchdown pass to Dennis Johnson three minutes into the second quarter.

That’s where the game turned. Mississippi State scored 10 straight points to get into halftime and ended the game on a 38-0 run.

Arkansas is now officially out of bowl contention (4-7) with the season finale next Friday against LSU.
