A Farmington man faces felony charges of second-degree battery and terroristic threatening after police said he pushed his mother, slammed her head on the ground and threatened to kill her.

Robert Lockwood, 45, was arrested by Farmington police at 9:30 a.m. Sunday and booked in to the Washington County Detention Center. No bond has been posted for his felony charges, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office website.

A preliminary police report said an officer responded to a battery call at Ed Moore Road in Fayetteville. Joy Lance, 65, told the officer her son had grabbed her arms and pushed her up against a refrigerator.

The report said Lance went outside where her son followed her and continued to push her. The report said she told him “she had brought him into the world so she could take him out,” and which point the report said Lockwood told her to kill him or he would kill her.

The report said Lockwood then put his hands around her neck, pushed her to the ground and slammed her head several times. The report said Lockwood then left his daughter, whose age was not given.

The report said Lance had marks on her arms and redness on her neck and she was treated at the scene. Lockwood also faces a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a minor with a bond amount of $535, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office website.
