A Springdale man is in the hospital after authorities say he left the scene of an injury accident.

Deputies said Jordan Loschke, 22, ran his truck head-on into another vehicle on Hazel Valley Road in Fayetteville on Dec. 1. Loschke ran from the scene into the nearby woods after the crash, according to a preliminary report from the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.

The driver in the other vehicle was turning right when Loschke’s truck, which was traveling in the middle of the road, struck the driver head-on, the report states.

The driver complained of a non-serious shoulder injury. He was treated and released.

Deputies and a K-9 dog unit with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office searched the woods for the suspect, but were unable to locate him.

The Sheriff’s Office put a bulletin out for Loschke and contacted his parole officer. Loschke has a criminal history that includes aggravated robbery, theft, breaking and entering, third-degree battery and fleeing, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Loschke was later admitted to an area hospital, where he remains. It is unclear whether he is in the hospital because of injuries sustained during the car crash.

Loschke was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on Wednesday, facing a felony charge of leaving the scene of an injury accident. The suspect was not present at his booking because he is still in the hospital, according to a sergeant with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
