Some folks in Denver, Colo., rang in the new year a little differently thanks to a new law. With the passage of Amendment 64 which allows adults over 21 to possess up to an ounce of marijuana, a new business called “Club 64” opened it’s doors for the first time.

The night club’s general counsel believes the club is 100 percent legal, according to a report from our sister station KDVR in Denver.

“Amendment 64 says you can consume marijuana all you want, but just not in public, so this is by definition private,” said Robert Corry.

Club members pay $30 to come in. They can bring their own marijuana or share with other adults. Click here to read how police in that area are responding to the situation.
