Mercy Health in Rogers and Kimberly Clark, the makers of Huggies diapers, celebrated the hospital’s first baby of the New Year.

Six-pound Charlie Zechiedrick was born at 12:14 p.m. to Melody and Leonard. Both of her parents Rogers School teachers.

The family says it's been an exciting day with all the attention they've been getting.

Charlie received gifts including a year supply of diapers.

"Dr. Martinelli expected the baby to arrive before Christmas and we're so excited that she didn't until now,” Melody said.  “We didn't expect all these gracious gifts from Huggies and from Mercy Hospital but it's been such a nice surprise and everyone has been so nice and helpful."
