A Siloam Springs convicted felon was arrested after police say they found guns and drugs in his home, within 1,000 feet of a church and drug treatment facility.

Ted Francis Wilder, 34, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was released Monday from the Benton County Jail on $2,500 bond.

During a traffic stop in West Siloam Springs, police found out that Wilder was on his way to Oklahoma to buy one pound of marijuana. He also told police he had additional drugs in his Siloam Springs home, according to a probable cause affidavit with the Benton County Clerk’s Office.

After arriving at Wilder’s home, the suspect’s girlfriend showed up with two children. She gave police permission to search the residence, the affidavit states.

Inside the home, police found and confiscated 42 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a .223 rifle, a pistol and $140. The gun’s serial number had been scratched off, police said.

Wilder’s home was within 1,000 of a drug treatment facility and a Hispanic church, both violations of gun law.
