A drug sting led police to seize hundreds of grams in marijuana and pills from a Fayetteville couple, along with a gun and thousands of dollars in cash.
At the end of a three-month drug-dealing investigation, the local Drug Task Force arrested the Ashley Fulcher and Solon Daniel on Friday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Fulcher, 22, faces an additional charge of possession of a Schedule IV drug with intent to deliver. Daniel, 28, faces a charge of simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm.
Fulcher and Daniel remained in the Washington County Detention Center on Friday night awaiting bond hearings, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said the Drug Task Force had conducted two controlled buys, in which a confidential informant purchased 63 grams of marijuana from Fulcher.
While executing a search warrant on Fulcher’s home on Park Oaks Drive on Friday morning, police stopped Daniel, who was leaving the home in his car. A search of the car revealed dozens of pills, along with more than 30 grams of marijuana stuffed into a Sun Chips bag, according to a preliminary report from the Washington County Detention Center.
Detectives searched Fulcher’s home and found a 40-caliber Glock handgun, as well as 816 grams of marijuana, more than 150 narcotics pills, mushrooms, digital scales, bongs and $4,825 in cash.
