Temperatures over the weekend will start a slow warm-up before a more rapid warm-up early next week. Highs will be unseasonable warm in the low to mid 70’s setting the stage for a round of winter-time severe storms.
There are details to be worked out about the exact evolution and track of this storm system, but most of the weather models have come into better agreement in bringing this energy through our area on Tuesday.
It is possible we reach record highs in Fayetteville on Tuesday, and possibly in Fort Smith. Overnight record high lows will be possible as well due to the very warm airmass.
Of course we will have more updates on the possibility of severe weather throughout the weekend and early next week.
