The Benton County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday released video of a high speed chase that started in Rogers and ended in Missouri with the arrest of two men.
A deputy attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Eric Watts on Wednesday. The car initially stopped, then sped off, leading police on a car chase that spanned two states, said Sheriff Kelley Cradduck.
Cradduck said authorities used spike strips to stop the vehicle in Pineville, Mo.
A passenger in the car was also arrested and faces fleeing charges.
Watts remains in the McDonald County Jail. In addition to federal charges from a previous case, Watts also faces extradition charges to Arkansas, Cradduck said.
Watts likely fled because he was a federal fugitive, on the run since skipping court in a federal drug case, according to the sheriff.
