About 2,000 Franklin County residents were without power Thursday night, as the power company worked to correct the problem.
OG&E Electric Services reported many of its customers in Charleston and Branch lost power Thursday. It was not immediately clear why the power failed in those towns.
Charleston has a population of about 3,000 residents, while Branch’s population is about 350.
