Scattered showers an thunderstorms expected over the weekend.

On Saturday evening the warm front will continue to press northward causing plenty of warm moist air to push into Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley. As a result scattered showers will be possible in the evening with overcast skies.

Overnight Saturday and into Sunday morning the cold front will move into the area. The heaviest rain is expected after dark on Saturday and Sunday morning.

The severe risk will be east of the cold front and south of the warm front. That location is expected to be located in Louisiana. Storms that occur in our region will take place because of overrunning or moisture pushing over the front. These storms are elevated and will only pose a threat of small hail.
